VLJ71620 - Vallejo Model Air Set: Cold War & Modern Russian Desert Patterns

Make your color selection easy with Vallejo paint sets

Set of 8 Model Air colors which contain a selection of colors for painting the camouflage patterns of contemporary soviet combat vehicles. The color references included are of those of the official URSS colors, and include camouflage patterns currently used on AFV vehicles. The camouflage patterns are very elaborate, and occasionally include up to four colors in order to effectively break the outline of the vehicle, and were developed as much for city environments as for desert landscapes. Normally the pattern has diffuse borders applied with a spray gun or pistol, or patches with hard outlines. A variety of sand colors were used as base color.

Content:
71.020 Green Brown
71.034 Sand Brown
71.039 Hull Red
71.094 Green Zinc Chromate
71.132 Aged White
71.137 US Light Green
71.244 Sand Beige
70.246 Yellow Brown

Matt acrylic colors, water-based and especially formulated for airbrushing. The Model Air color range contains the most complete selection of the military colors used in recent history, including the colors of WWI, WWII and up to the present. Each color is based on extensive research by our experts of the existing and previous military references so as to offer the modeler the highest possible historical accuracy. Model Air is used directly or diluted with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. It is recommended to first prime the surface, and then apply Model Air in several layers. The colors dry very rapidly and form a homogenous paint film of extraordinary resistance while preserving even the smallest detail of the model. For airbrushing these colors, the compressor air pressure is recommended at 15 - 20 PSI or 0.5 to 1 kg. Model Air can of course also be applied with a brush. For correct airbrush maintenance we recommend using the Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner. Vallejo Model Air is non-flammable and completely solvent-free, making it a safe choice for hobbyists of all ages working in any environment. For best results, prime your surface before application and maintain your airbrush with Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner.
